Pancake House Supports Philippine Junior Golf March 16, 2009
At a time when corporate sponsorship budgets seem to be shrinking, the PANCAKE HOUSE Group has shown that it need not follow the rest of the pack. Being the title sponsor of the inaugural tournament of the Philippine Junior Golf Tour, Pancake House has shown that there is value in supporting the next generation of Philippine golf athletes.
Not only is Pancake House the title sponsor to the March 26 & 27 event billed as the PANCAKE HOUSE Junior All Star Inaugural, it has also taken the initiative to build up what would be known as the PANCAKE HOUSE Aces.
Membership to The PANCAKE HOUSE Aces is by invitation based on tournament results in events organized by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines, The PJGT - PhilJunGolfTOUR as well as TJGL - The Junior Golfers League.
JunGolfers, who are accepted into The PANCAKE HOUSE Aces cadre, will enjoy full sponsorships to selected international tournaments around the world.

Mia Legaspi Wins Another World Title Mia Legaspi of the Philippines claimed victory at the United States Kids Golf World Championships at the Longleaf Golf Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina, when she carded a final round one-under-par 35 to win the girls’ 9-under division.
This is Mia's third world crown adding to other titles previously won in the Callaway Junior World Championships (2006) and in the 8-under division of this same tournament last year.
The annual event saw players coming from a total of 35 countries and other American states, making Legaspi’s triumph even sweeter as it compensated for a non-title finish at the Junior World in San Diego, a few weeks prior.

Dottie Ardina victorious in San Diego SAN DIEGO, California - Dottie Ardina of the Philippines won a sudden-death playoff on the Oak Glen Course at Sycuan Resort to clinch another Junior World Golf victory. Dottie claimed her third crown in six years in a drama-fraught day of feat and heartbreaks for the Philippines.
The 14-year-old Ardina averted a horrendous foldup after a fiery start to rule the girls’ 13-14 class via playoff for the country’s lone title in this year’s Callaway Junior World championship after sorry misses in the two other fronts it had hoped to pull off a three-title run Thursday (Friday in Manila).
Ardina, an ICTSI golf scholar, threatened to run away with the title with a solid five-under par on the outward trip at the Sycuan Resort to lead chief rival Alina Ching of Hawaii by seven shots at the turn.
But the daughter of a golf teaching pro in Canlubang threw it all by playing the first four holes of the backnine in five over par and needed a routine par in the first extra hole to gain the crown as Ching’s putt lipped out for bogey. Ardina submitted a one over 73 against Ching’s 72 for identical 214 cards.
With her third title, Ardina emerged the second winningest Filipino in the meet behind Ramon Brobio who had four top crowns, but the best among the Filipina winners since the country first competed here in 1975.
